12:00 pm Late Fall Management

This is the blog for Alicia Revely’s 12:00 pm Late Fall 2008 Principles of Marketing I class at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Students will be posting throughout the term to discuss their analysis of management principles in their textbooks as exemplified by entrepreneurs to whom they have given microloans through Kiva.org.

Funding from the loans comes from Cincinnati State’s SIFE – Students in Free Enterprise program budget. Each team of students lends $50 to a Kiva entrepreneur or group of entrepreneurs. Students are required to write one post over the course of the term relating their recipient’s management skills to management principles covered in a chapter of the textbook. Each student will also be making at least five comments to posts on the blog over the course of the project. Student teams will present information about their loan recipients and how the project affected them and their understanding of management at the end of the course during class time.
